Daddy Gold has been released after spending 58 days
A community elder known as
Daddy Gold has been released after spending 58 days in captivity following a kidnapping incident at Ogba Ayo, Oke Ode, in Kwara State.
According to family sources, he was abducted on 28 September 2025 during the tragic attack that rocked the area.
After weeks in the hands of his captors, he returned home on 25 November 2025 visibly weak, shaken, and unable to stand without support’ a painful contrast to the strong, energetic man his community once knew.
The kidnappers initially demanded N100 million, an impossible ransom for the family.
They reportedly sold all they could, sought help everywhere, and after relentless efforts were only able to raise N20 million.
The abductors accepted the N20 million, leading to his eventual release.
The family described his survival as “an act of God’s mercy,”
